Doula Training

Bonu became a professional doula and childbirth educator in 2004 and has always felt incredibly grateful to have found a dream career.  Having incredibly rewarding work, which involves deep personal connection, is intimate and joyful and at the same time intellectually stimulating is a tremendous gift.  Let’s face it, it’s hard to beat meeting a human being on the first day of their lives and getting to support people through possibly the biggest transformation of their lives.   

It only felt natural to help other people on their paths to becoming childbirth educators and doulas, whether professionally or personally.   Bonu has been mentoring childbirth educators since 2006 and has been certified as a birth doula trainer since 2015.

Bonu can help you learn the heart and science of this work on your path to becoming a doula or supporting a beloved friend or family member through labor.

Bonu offers birth doula workshops (that can be used toward certification with DONA)  in the New York Metropolitan  area.  Bonu is a very active birth doula and her trainings reflect that.  Her knowledge is current, practical and evidence based.
